Railway Publications

Assisted by the outstanding popularity of the Railway Archive magazine, our range of railway titles continues to grow and several more will be added over the next year or so. The most recently published, The Banbury & Cheltenham Direct Railway, has garnered a number of excellent reviews, with British Railway Modelling making it their book of the month in the April 2005 issue.

Due for publication in late 2006 will be The Wirral Railway, the first major history of this little known route on the Wirral peninsula in Cheshire. It has been compiled by the noted north-west of England transport historian and author T.B. Maund. The projected book on Hall's Tramroad, a South Wales colliery branch which was in use for nearly 200 years is making progress and publication is expected in early 2006.

For 2006, there is a major branch line history in the pipeline, which promises to be every bit as detailed as the Banbury & Cheltenham book, there will be at least one further addition to the private owner wagons series and hopefully a book on the Coaches of the South Eastern & Chatham Railway from an acknowledged  expert in the field.
