Industrial History Publications

Our range of industrial books continues to grow slowly and currently the majority of titles are focused on the Forest of Dean. However, in 2006 work begins on a monumental undertaking, a gazetteer of the South Wales Coalfield, which will be published in several volumes. Representing many years of research by Tony Cooke, it includes literally thousands of sites, no matter how small or obscure, to which reference has been found. Illustrated with a plethora maps, showing the various parts of the coalfield in general and large scale OS maps for many of the individual sites, along with a generous selection of historic photographs, this will become a standard work of reference for future generations of historians. To be published by Black Dwarf Lightmoor in conjunction with National Museums & Galleries of Wales.

To complement the 2004 title Waller's Description of the Mines in Cardiganshire, a new book containing much research and many photographs on the Mines of the Rheidol Valley, which, in conjunction with a noted expert in the field, will be available at a future date.
