Care of prints
Prints supplied by Forest Prints are
very durable and have a very long life span of 50 to 100 years if the following points are observed.
It is most likely that prints will
be displayed in picture frames, so mount them under glass to minimize exposure
to humidity, cigarette smoke and other atmospheric contaminants. Avoid placing
them in direct sunlight, near sources of bright light or excessive heat. A
normal domestic environment should not have an adverse effect on the quality of
the print.
The displayed prints will last
longer when protected from the environment, but will not last as long as prints
stored in photo albums.
-
Display your prints away from
extreme temperatures, i.e. over central heating radiators or hot air ducts.
High humidity, direct sunlight or bright lights.
-
Do not display or store prints
outdoors.
-
When framing prints in high
humidity, condensation may form behind the glass. Remove the prints, store in
a dry place and frame again when humidity levels drop.
