Author: Ruth Proctor Hirst
The largest village in the Forest,
Bream can trace its history back over 700 years. Although much of its later
history and prosperity were closely tied with deep coal mining, Bream was
also a rural community and several of the surrounding farms and estates were
established by the 17th century. The pictures in this book will hopefully
bring back memories for older villagers, whilst the text will give newcomers
and the younger generation a flavour of the Bream of old.
